I'm now regularly giving away a freebie! Right now you can -
My Voodoo Chile Songsheets are 12 pages long; detailing what to play and how to play it, with chords, scales, tabs, strumming patterns - everything you need! Click here to claim your FREE gift :-)
On this site you'll find easy to understand theory sections - What is a scale? How to work out scales and what chords to use. Learn how chords are created, what modes are and where to find them.
There are pages on tuning, how to strum, learning lead guitar and soloing / jamming.
There are free mp3's to download - backing tracks for guitarists to jam over.
When I wanted some modal backing tracks to jam over I went searching the Internet. I was disappointed that what was on offer seemed to be exclusively for jazz players and/or midi files that I find very uninspiring to play over.
I therefore decided to produce backing tracks that are for practicing various scales, including several of the modes, and are more Rock, Funk and Blues based. The free jam tracks use a drum machine and are fairly basic. My Backing Trax and ETrax are superb quality; Rock, Funk & Blues jam tracks, played by 100% 'live' musicians; and are formatted as complete songs - so you get into soloing over a verse, then it steps up into a bridge to lead you into screaming joy over a thumping chorus! :-)
For those interested in my playing, you can listen to the musical duo I sporadically gig in - TomRobin, or listen to my last band project - The Smokin' Bones playing All Shook Up or You Gotta Lose.
